Room EQ wizard problem

Hey I'm trying to EQ wizard my room but the program only lets me use my 'soundcard' ins and outs. I use a 002r for all my ins and outs and don't see that as an option. Hmmm am I doing something totally wrong that anyone knows about? Is there any way around this?

As far as I know REW can use any "normal" Windows sound card for which drivers are installed. There may be some pro-type cards it can't recognize, though I've never come across that. REW finds my M-Audio Delta 66 and my laptop's Presonus FireBOX.

I don't use PT, so I don't know if it's ASIO only - but it may be the cause of the problem. It certainly didn't like my RME digital interfaces.

Perhaps this helps? Java Sound Resources: FAQ: Miscellaneous

Any help on how to implement the source code and stuff for this thing would be appreciated! I'm not on my pc so I don't know if it's as simple as installing the file into a certain folder or something...I'll give some stuff a try.

Did some quick googling but didn't come up with any easy solution. Have an inkling the javasound ASIO library may have to implemented by the coder. Have you tried to ask in the REW forums or sending a request to the developers?

Give a shout if you find out how to use ASIO with REW!

If you have a spare laptop or similar, use that instead. The fidelity doesn't matter much in this case.

Ahh thats a good idea, I have a crappy TASCAM interface and old computer that I could set it up on. I feel like getting the ASIO thing to work is gonna bug me though until I can figure it out lol! If I have success I will let you know. Thx.
