How can I make this less bad?

Ok so this is my mix position:

I know it isn't really a good position, but this is what I have to work with. I'm going to build myself a bunch of basstraps next week and I would like some advice on what I can do besides the regular corners and first reflection points.

I was thinking of building a "removable" trap to go behind the monitors in front of the window that I can remove when I'm not mixing.
Also would some sort of mini cloud above the monitors help?

thanks in advance for any advice you guys can give me. (I know the best advice probably is to find another spot, but I really have no other options)

Get those monitors out of the window frame (but leave the foam in there). Yeah, a removable mixing-trap would probably help.

Besides the 12 regular corners (not just four), the front and rear walls are also important for bass trapping. If the rear wall behind you is less than 10 feet away, absorption that targets mid and high frequencies is also useful. Small things like recessed corners don't matter much. With acoustics, and especially low frequencies, it's the "big stuff" that matters most. Other than bass trapping, the front wall is not so important IMO:

I'd slide the speakers/stands forward just a bit, so that the front of the drivers on the speakers are not inside the window sill. IOW, put the stands flush against the edge of the sill, with the front of the speakers just a bit in front of that.

That will probably help your imaging.

And put some absorbent material in the window well. That cavity is going to have it's own resonances in addition to the bigger room. While the window will allow some bass to pass out, it's still and issue.

I'd get them completely out of the window if you can.
