Help Critique My New Studio Floor Plan!

Hey all,

So I am building a studio in the basement of my house. It is completely
gutted right now with no walls or floors just solid foundation. The catch
is I also have to use the space to make it a livable apartment style space with a studio. I drew up a floor plan and wanted to see what you guys thought and if you
had any feedback/advice for me.

I'd let to eventually be able to do surround in there as well. I don't do much tracking maybe a vocalist or guitarist here and there. Most of the music I do is electronic in nature.

The curve ball is that there are immovable supports in the basement which kinda dictate a bit where I have to put walls. Also there is the furnace/hotwater heater which is also kinda immovable. Aside from those two things I have complete control. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks !

Any chance you can make the studio room wider? 11 feet wide (or even a little wider) is better than 10'1" as you can verify here:

Graphical Mode Calculator

I'd also skip the booth unless you really need it:

Do I really need a vocal booth?

There are an awful lot of parallel walls there. Also, fewer large rooms will be better than more, smaller rooms.

Will you be using the living room and the studio at the same time?
