Small room, worth treating?

This is the room i do production and mixing in. I understand a lot of people void these types of rooms, even ones that are slightly bigger. I'm kind of stuck working out of this room either way until i decide to finish off a part of my basement for a studio area. I'm a renter so i am not very anxious to do so. I looked at the free room analysis forum from the auralex website. What i wanted to know is if i am really going to benefit off treating this room. I know that's up to me entirely but would anyone even bother treating it even if it was the only option they had? its so small... I drew in any details i could think of that would be of help. here is the desk that i work at - Online Catalog ยป Project Station - I use a pair of Mackie MR8 monitors. I am thinking of purchasing the Tapco SW-10 Studio Subwoofer but could only imagine how it would sound inside a room this size. Any suggestions on the best placement for the desk or the subwoofer? Thank you.

Of course it's worth treating! A small square room like that needs treating even more than a larger room that's better proportioned. Forget the subwoofer, and focus on bass traps and "reflection" absorbers.

Start by facing the upper wall, sitting around 38% of the room length.

Here is a layout for you for placing acoustics.

Also take a read (a lot of stuff to put you asleep) on this page about acoustics.
