Building 20m² control room, advice needed

Hi

I´m going to have 20m² of space for a control room from a big empty "hall" and would need some advice on which shape would be ideal for this small space. Should the control room be floating? The space is about 3 metres high.

Thanks,
Jaakko

Lightbulb

That's probably not large enough to be worth angling the walls, but you could do something like this with slight angles:

Maximum Studio, Minimum Stress

As for floating, that's useful only for sound isolation, not sound quality inside the room.

I agree with Ethan...you probably don't want to angle the walls much, but the space is large enough to sound pretty darned good if you treat it right. Any floor plans?

That's good to hear, looking forward to building & treating. The floor has been changed recently, i'm guessing the material is "plastic" on top of sement base.

Ps. My current monitors are genelec 1029 without sub. Should invest on bigger ones /or get 1091 sub?
