hornswoggled? Is knauf enough?

Is Knauf acceptable? I responded to a craiglist ad for buying some owens corning 703 panels. qty 12 2" thick and qty 4 4" thick wrapped and framed. A long story I won't get into now, but it turns out to be "knauf" "air duct" EI800 insulation which is also rigid fiberglass. I wouldn't have bought it if I knew but now I might be stuck with it. It's also designed to minimize loud sounds but within air conditioning systems and doesn't seem to be sold as specifically for people like us as the 703. When comparing the specs of the 2 diff companies products, the commonly used 703 has flat frequency absorption across the board till you get down to 500 hz where it has a 30% decreases and a much steeper decrease at 125. The Knauf specs are all over the map although it's only displayed at max 1.5" thickness. It has a serious bump in absorbtion at 1k. Think of what overcompensating all your mixes at 1 k would do. I shutter at that.

I have set up the 4" bass traps in my room and they do seem to help some, but I absolutely don't want to get big time uneven absorption i would think? Am I gettin paranoid here? Is rigid fiberglass pretty much all the same stuff? It's R rating for whatever that's worth seems to be the same as the 703. Any input would be awesome, I really am afraid I have serious coin into worthless panels. btw i also do have qty 7 2" 703 already up besides this new and prettier stuff in my 12X20x8 control room.

I'm sure that Knauf insulation is fine.

Thanks guys. when i first opened one up and saw that silver frk stuff and it said air duct, i started pricing shotguns. I got 14 2x4x2 and 4 2x4x4 wrapped and framed for $250. ya think i got a good deal? Its probably worth the $250 not to have to touch the fiberglass i think.
