| Gear maniac | not an ideal location - acoustics in the corner of a bedroom
my girlfriend and i are moving into a fairly small apartment. the only space for music gear is in the corner of the bedroom. what would be your recommendations as for what to do with treating this space? its not for clients, but a happy place for me to work on some tunes during these dark winter months ![]() i still would like to be able to pull a good mix tho! any ideas much appreciated - i drew up a lil mockup of the room cheers ~T

If you can't move (really would be better to move) then straddle panels floor to ceiling in that corner by the desk, place a panel between where you sit and the monitors, and place one panels behind each monitor on the wall. Pray for spring.

| Any chance you can rotate the setup counter-clockwise so you're facing the top of the drawing? That would help a lot. --Ethan

| Gear maniac | That bad eh? I ran some sound through the monitors and it sounds terrible at the moment - high ceilings and no panels in yet - tons of reflections. Ethan, I'll see if I can rotate the setup like you suggested. Another battle to be fought with the girlfriend ![]() Would the fact that the back wall is on an angle effect things too much? (its actually closer to a 45 degree angle, my lil mockup didnt reflect that too accurately) cheers for the help ~T |
