STC rating of 1/2" laminated glass? 3/8" laminated glass?

Hello all

anyone know the approximate STC rating of 1/2" laminated glass?

3/8" laminated glass?

what about 1/2" ordinary glass?

3/8" ordinary glass?

1/4" ordinary glass?

1/4" glass = STC 31
1/2" glass = STC 36

I'm not trying to be insulting, but as a matter of curiosity I googled "glass STC" and the very first page had that data.

The same page that shows up first on the google search shows:

3/8" laminated = STC 35
1/2" laminated = STC 38

What was your google search that turned up nothing?

ok smarty pants - what link did you find? im looking all over the web to find the STC rating of ordinary glass - 1/2" 3/8ths and 1/4"

Between not being able to do google searches and not reading what was posted in the first reply, or answering questions put to you, it is tempting to write nothing.

In the first post I wrote is the STC ratings for 1/4" and 1/2" ordinary glass. 3/8"will be STC 34 using interpolation and knowledge of the physics involved.

The website is calglassbending.com/stctable. You didi not answer my question of google search you did.

You did not specify what thickness for the plastic in the laminate.

For music isolation purposes STC is not appropriate. You have to look at the transmission loss (TL) curves. The NRC has several papers relating to windows and sound isolation.
