Garage Conversion questions...

Hey I'm converting my garage into a small production/recording studio. I have some questions:

Do any of you have experience with QuietRock drywall. I'm trying to figure out how to soundproof the walls. Debating over QuietRock or resilient channel (QuietSolutions doesn't recommend both....?). I will have a subwoofer in the control room. (mixing mainly R&B and Hip Hop) So I need to isolate a lot of deep bass.

Basically, I'm asking if one or the other is better for the low bass frequencies? thx

Quietrock works. It is more expensive than equivalent walls made with drywall and Green Glue.

Ok cool.. Another question:

Since this is a garage conversion for a project studio, Do you think the sound isolation would significantly improve if all the walls and ceiling were installed on a resilient channel?? (with double layer of 1/2" sheetrock sandwiching green glue) As opposed to just the walls that are connected to the house? For some reason I am thinking that if all the walls are on resilient channel it would be more decoupled from the rest of the house and therefore significantly improve isolation. Is this correct (considering I don't want to spend an arm and a leg if I don't have to. (I don't think I will be floating the floor by the way).

thx in advance

I can guarantee that if you think you do not need to float the floor, you do not have to.

Yes. You haven't priced Green glue if you are talking about arms and legs for RC.
