Ceiling Height?

Hi everyone,

This might be a question which is hard to answer...

I'm looking for a place to build my new studio. The main focus is on sound proofing between the rooms.

But whats a good starting point for a ceiling height?
Floating floors and a thick roof will take a lot of the ceiling height.

I found a nice place - but only 2.46 metres high.

In ideal circumstances, 4.5m.

If the ceiling is only 2.46 meters high, it's not a nice place!

My place is 2.8meters, so it's touch and go, eh?

9' or around 3 meters for a CTR, studio 9' + is usable.
Good design is MORE important, seen some small rooms that worked.
But the 1500cubic feet min. is a good starting point.
Depends on what you're using the rooms for...
Have also seen a few nice size rooms that sounded awful.

It was about 178 square metres and only $520 a month (2 big rooms, 2 smaller rooms).

But yeah, not a very impressive ceiling height.

I already got a studio with a low ceiling - so I guess it's better if I just wait for the "perfect" place.
