help with a tiny, square room

I have just moved into a new appartment and my room for mixing is less than ideal.

It is 10' x 10' with 8' ceilings. On one wall there is a giant window, a door on another and a small cupboard on a 3rd.

So my room is square, has dissimalar walls and a tiny volume. I know this sucks but I have to make the best of it.

Step 1: Where should I orient my mix position? With the window to my back or front? (I assume not to one side or else I will have an asymetrical reflection response) I also plan to be at 38% of the room lenght.
What extra considerations/compensations should I employ for a square room?

Step 2: I plan to get as much acoustic treatment as I can; bass traps in all four corners, firs reflection panels to the sides and above me, large bass trap mounted directly behind or in front of me. I was planning to get one of the room kits from GIK.

Step3: Reduce the amount of equipment and furniture in the room so that I can maximize the volume in the room. This is requiring me to search for the right geat to hold the following in an ergonomic and accessible way:

Desktop (or stands):
22" lcd
Korg Monopoly
Nord Lead2
SH-101
TR-808
Korg ER-1
2 x Adam A7 (I do have some quicklok stands)

rack stuff:
2x MOTU MidIO 128
2 x Tascam patch bays
Paia Midi2CV
Roland MKS-30
Ensoniq DP4+
Nord Modular G1

Any advice?

You could go either way on this, but I would put it in the front.

Sounds all good to me, but don't worry so much about a bass trap right in front of you. Treat the back wall.

Since you are buying from us, feel free to send me pictures of you room so we can take a look. We do give one personal acoustic support to our customers as part of the purchase.
