Thread Starter | My room - frequency graph
Here is a frequency graph showing the response of my room. I used fuzzmeasure to generate this. I'm a little concerned about the falloff at around 8k. Also, there are several dips and whatnot throughout, but since I have nothing to compare this to, I'm wondering if someone who knows a little more about this could chime in with their thoughts. I used an analog Radio Shack meter for the test. There was only one speaker generating the sine wave and the meter was put exactly at listening position and height. Thanks! |

From what I know, this looks excellent, especially in the Low End. No idea what's the deal with the fall off at 8kHz though...

indeed... thank you so much Ethan.... I just have to buy a new microphone for our Smaart system and the good news is that the Behringer comes really close to the Earthworks you took as a reference in your charts... the weird thing is that for the price of one Earthworks Microphones you can buy 25 (!) Behringers ... although I know Behringers reputation I think I'll go for the ECM8000 for room measurements... or am I to miserly? Kind regards from Belgium Pedro |
