Help decide where to put my monitors

Hi,
This is my first post here, so hi to everyone, you will have to excuse my english, my spelling might be funny sometimes :)

I almost finished treatening my control room, which is small, putting a lot of basstraps in all corners, as well as wall cealing corners and wall floor corners (front and rear walls) and on all walls to get a reflexion free zone.

I still need to get the ceiling done but i already did some measuring of some different monitor position, using the ETF5 software. More out of fun and to learn how this program works.
I measured 3 positions, having the mic always on the same spot (38% from front wall).

Now as i donīt have any experience reading this graphics i would like to know which position would you choose and why.
...Yes i know that i can as well sit down and listen to some cdīs and chose the one i like more :)

Thanks

Number 3 as it seems to have the flattest response over all.

Hi Glenn,
thanks for your answer!
I was thinking about Number 3 as well. Do you think that the response is flat enough or should i try to get rid of the last two peaks at around 150 and 180 Hz?

You can try, but that's pretty darned good already. Looks like you're within 11dB of the +/- 3dB "flat" range.

The 3rd picture seem fine. Yet it is a very poor representation of the room since it does not take into account the time domain analysis of the acoustics of the room.

Also your ears should also decide, they are the great analyzer as well. Sometimes people get obsessed with charts and forget to use the ears as well. The only problem I may see in your room is to end with a very dry room but it is always a commitment.

I knew someone would bring that up. Good point!

Good point also, but sometimes you know it is not perfect but can't figure that out by ear. That is where testing helps.

I know that whith only this small frequency responce it is impossible to say how the room sounds. But so far, my ears like it very much :)

As soon as i have done the ceiling, i'm going to take some pictures and more measurements and will love to share them with you guys.
thanks
