floor construction when concrete is no option

what is you take on drum booth floor construction if concrete is not an option?
how should i get the need mass to avoid sound leaking to the store under me without using concrete floor?

an option i have considered before is building a wooden floated platform ,and filling it with sand.... this will give you plenty of mass, it is removable, and it definitely wont resonate..

although i haven't tried it yet ;)
