Drywall Installation & Green Glue

Hi!
the framing has been built for my new studio and I'd like to know if I should use some of my greenglue when I screw the first layer of drywall onto it or is that overkill?
I want to make sure I don't run out of greenglue for putting up my second layer!
Can I just use some kind of flexible adhesive glue or would greenglue be much better on this first layer?

Cheers!

Don't worry about anything on the studs. The manufacturer says tie the first layer directly to the studs and use the Green Glue between drywall layers.
