Where to put my drumset to get best acoustics

Hey guys, my "small" liveroom is done, and I've collected my gear, but one thing remains, where to put the drum set? to get the best result?

The ceiling is 2,40m, and the other dimentions are in my attachment!

Thanks!

Can't view the attachment for some reason, but the answer depends on what else you've got hapenning in the room. Is it treated? If so, how? You'll need absorbtion above the kit with a 2.4m ceiling for sure. If you've got good absorbtion or diffusion on the back wall you could back it to the wall within a meter or so and be fine. If not, better to stand off that wall some.

Use your ears! Pick up the snare drum and walk around the room hitting it. Wherever it sounds fullest is where you should set it up.

Yes sir, it is. I'm not so young either...I'm 38, and getting more and more aware of it every day.

I also like to move the floor tom around the room, to see what's happening in the low end. Hopefully you can find a spot where they both sound good. Absorbers and other acoustic panels on stands might make sense.
