Recording Room Wall

I`ve been reading some guides to build a recording studio, I don`t understand how the inner walls of the recording room are built.

I have concrete walls, so I leave an air gap then add some mineral insulation, gypsum board, sheetblok and another gypsum board. So the the final gypsum board is visible in the recording room.

Then should I cover all the walls with rigid fiberglass boards for absorption?

I plan to build a recording studio in a few months so far I`ve read Auralex guide and Ethans Guide.

I have a tracking room with these dimensions 25L, 21W and 10H, what kind of treatment should I use.

I guess bass traps in every corner and a diffusor in the celing above the drums. Should I cover all the walls with absoption material or some parts. I read somewhere I could set the walls like a checkboard with absorption material and some hard material for reflection is that true. If so what absorption material and har material would you recomend

I'd actually start with absorbtion above the drums rather than diffusion...I think you'll get better results for a smaller investment. I'd look at 2" panels made from mineral wool or OC703. They'll both do the job.

Before you build, I recommend getting a copy of Rod Gervais' book, Home Recording Studio: Build It Like The Pros.

Regarding treatment, you'll want bass traps in (all 12) corners. You can use small absorbers in a checkerboard pattern to reduce reverb time in the room, but these checkerboards won't have much effect at lower frequencies. Start with the bass traps in the corners, and possibly some absorbers on stands that you can move around the room. If it's still too live then you can do the checkerboard thang. King me!

I just ordered Rod Gervais book a few days ago, great idea to have the absorption panels on movable stands.
