Who knows what about LEDs?

If you have any experience (1) lighting your whole studio with LEDs, or (2) lighting some major parts, or (3) connecting LED lamps to Lutron controls, please share your experiences! It seems that this new technology is quite new in the world of studio construction.

There are LED fixtures out there that would be great for studios. Depends on how you like your lighting though.

LED and Fiber Optic Lighting by Wiedamark

Love LED's! A little $$$ up front, but cool looking and save $$$ over the long run.

more light!!!!!!!

I have developed LED lighting products that were intended to imitate real candles. Problem: cost, getting enough lumens, getting rid of that lack of diffusion and finally trying to get LEDs that resemble natural colours. they just don't make them......yet. Even the super-brite "white" LEDs always have some weird tint that appears to me as blueish or greenish. Humans are used to more yellowish light it seem. Or perhaps , technically, broadband frequencies of diffuse light. Candles actually have about three seperate zones of different colour including blue, white, orange and a lot of yellow. I prefer low intensity filament lamps..It's the most comfortable to live and work in. The cost benefits for LED lights speak for themselves, but the colour.....i dunno. the tech is not there yet IMHO

If you check out that site, they offer neutral, warm, and cool color temps for their LED stuff.
