Question Fabric or wood?

My rear-wall bass trap is going through the wall--8" trap, 4" wall. Would it be better to back it with wood or weed guard fabric? It'll be batt fiberglass in the front half.

Are you building it with space behind the fiberglass? If so, then a solid backing is fine. If not, leave it open with fabric.

Thanks, Frank. I had figured 8" deep, with 4" of fiberglass batt, 4" airspace, and a back. Would 8" of FG and cloth be better?

Not at the expense of air space, no.
