treating my bedroom studio

Hi there,

I’m looking to treat my room, unfortunately it is my bedroom as I’ve moved back from university with the parents and I’m having to cram everything into one room! I’ve measured the room dimensions and furniture (see below diagrams) – could anyone help me by suggesting how to treat it, as I have no idea where to start…

Unfortunately the room is close to the dreaded cube shape and several failed attempts have led me to find that this is the only realistic way that I can have the room laid out – it’s quite cramped! There is a drum kit in the room and any suggestions made to help me enhance my drum sound would be gratefully appreciated. Below is some information you may find helpful:

- The cupboard (dimensions) in the corner is fixed and can’t be moved

- Walls are wallpapered onto brick with a thin insulating membrane (approx. 2mm thick)

- Relatively thick carpet on floor

- I have a very thick blind that can pulled over the window whilst mixing to block any reflections

- Pine furniture

Thanks for the help! Dave
