Worried about hum from near electric generator

I found a building which is perfect to build my studio but there is a small electricity board power supply about 20 meters away. As there is no electrics wired in the building yet I can't take a mobile rig to test for any hum etc. Will I get problems and if so is there a cure.

i'd be more worried about getting cancer than hum. those substations always freak me out. i could never live near one or under those hi tension power lines. sometime in life i developed the impression that they emit death.

back to reality.. is it a free standing building or part of larger complex? are there any other buildings around there? maybe you could explain your situation and see if a neighbor will let you run a simple test?

yea I know what you mean, basically there arn't any buildings that near and its not like a tall pilon its like one of those small power boxes about 5 foot tall and 3 feet wide. its fenced of about 10 meters each side and the building for the studio is about 20 meters away. make any sense
