Maybe a nice challenge to look at...

Hello all,

Lurker registered here.

For the first time in years I'm able to get myself busy with treating my room.

It's quite a simple room, so that's not exactly the problem, but the room has some weird spots imo. A corner and a wall that partially goes up into the ceiling. Through that wall are two windows "breakin' out", so you get two hollow spaces, one big, one small. You can see it all in the drawings in Paint, which is a pain(t) in the ass for this but it works. I hope they are clear.

[edit] the first jpeg is view from above, second is view sideways for the big window, so you see how I mean 'the hollow space', and the third a view for the other side for the small window - same reason as second. [/edit]

Especially these things I'd like to discuss. I'm not sure what's the best way to treat a room with such spots, and what would be the best position then.

The room is (without the tackling spots):

Length: 4.90 meters
Widt: 3.90 meters
Height: 2.60 meters

I now experience flutter. It's like when you clap, it goes 'cla-haaap' for almost a sec. Also I have quite some bass-troubles, I can't really hear or feel the bass, only in some spots, and even there it's not sounding 'clean'. But I guess that's all about bass-trapping.

The floor is from laminat so I guess a carpet wouldn't be bad. The walls are simple stone walls with wallpaper and paint.

Thanks for anything I should consider before going into treating it!

There isn't much you can do without serious changes that will diminish the size of you room.

I would get a number of sound control panels and deaden the ceiling and one whole wall to get rid of the flutters. There isn't much else you can do with a small room like this.

Get some bass absorbers into the corners too.

You should hear a major difference then.
