Thread Starter | I Need Help Placing Traps
HI, I Made 8 broandband traps/absorbers. 5 of them are 6 inch thick 3 are 4 inch thick. Here's my placing plan: Check the link for a picture The Blue ones are the 4" traps and the red ones are 6". the upper left corner is supposed to have a 4" trap on top of a 6" trap. http://img901.mytextgraphics.com/pho...4ajx0cv6p.jpeg DO you have any opinions what would be the best way to place them? help would be highly appreciated, thanks a lot!! Everything looks pretty good to me, but you may want to put a couple more 6" panels on the back wall. Also it might be good if you delete your duplicate post. Just think if EVERYONE double posted. ![]() ![]() Glenn

Hi Doog, The panels in the wall/wall corners are good, that's a no-brainer. I think you'll want to experiment a bit with the blue panels in your drawing. I'd try them in 3 places, other than what you have indicated. See which place sounds best to you. 1. Try the place you have on the drawing, ie, wall/ceiling corners on the side walls. 2. Try them on the side walls at the first-reflection points, spacing the panels out about 4" from the wall. 3. Try them on the rear wall first-reflection points, again spaced out 4" from the wall. 4. Try them in the wall/ceiling corners of the front and rear wall. My guess is that you might like #2 best, if imaging is important to you. If flat bass is more important, one of the others may sound better. Eventually I'd put traps at all these locations if you can.
