Booth Building!!

iight..soo im in the process of building a booth...recently ive been seeing many different plans and most of them include som sort of angled walls... im not entirley interested in it unless it will make some sort of DRASTIC difference..otehrwise.. id rather not bother... but id like to know what the best wall thickness is for a small vocal booth.. please post abck with any help

For a small booth, I'd just use standard 2x4 framing, with 2 layers of sheetrock on the OUTSIDE of the booth. This way you can finish the outside of the booth to match the room. If you need a LOT of isolation, put green glue between the sheetrock. Make sure it's airtight, and put (at the very least) a solid-core door, with good weatherstripping around it.

Then, put insulation (preferably Ultratouch cotton) between the studs inside the room, and cover it with cloth.

If you do this (ie, put a lot of absorption in the booth) then you don't really need to splay the walls, as the absorption will kill the flutter echo.
