Acoustics of a Concrete Floor vs. Hardwood

I'll be moving my studio into a converted garage that has an additional space attached to it which will be the control room. In the control room part I was thinking of just putting hardwood flooring over the concrete. Will there be any difference between a concrete floor and a hardwood floor (not floated) acoustic wise?

FYI the dimensions are 15x18x10.

No, both reflect about the same.

It happened again! A clear question. No.

Happily,

How about sheet-rocked walls and window glass -- is there a difference in the reflections?

Glass reflects highs a little more, but both surfaces are considered "reflective" in the larger sense of the word.

The Ideal Floor?

More questions...

Hardwood seems to be the norm in most studios but is it ideal acoustically?

How much does the floor factor in to the acoustics of a room?

How would rugs partially covering the floor affect the acoustics?

Ckeck out the photos of my live room as well as a bunch of others on www.fmdesign (trillium lane and Bluejay for example). We used Kemiko Concrete stain and works great. As long as the slab is kept in good condition and washed well before applying the stain it looks great. A few area rugs dampen reflections when necessary. Remember the floor is only one surface. We opted to use wood on walls and ceiling clouds. The room sounds great.
