placing hangers/traps (unsymmetric wall) ?

hi there,

i just want to know if there are problems if i place these hangers and fiberglass like in the plan.
will the absorbtion(broadband incl. low freq)) work well with the alcove?
or will it disturb the deaden backwall?

thanks for your comments

red=hangers
yellow=heavy curtain

greets

You need a lot more bass trapping than that. You also need absorption at the first reflection points on the side walls and ceiling. Much more here:

thanks for response ethan,
i know your webside very well l

hope in future your traps will be available in europe!!!

i have already made this hangers and they also seem to work very well to kill the backwall for this small room.

my main question at the moment is about these alcove(left side down on my picture) should i close to get a complete wall, or it doest really matter because its dead?

if you don't care how they look just build your own. buy 4" roxul 60 or oc703, fabric it and lean/stack them into corners. easy. maybe $15-20 each.

As long as the alcove is behind you it shouldn't be a problem.
