Treating My Room

How could I go about treating a 9X10X8.4 room where the walls are parallel?

I have the drumset in one corner, and the Desk against the opposite wall... Any Ideas?

I'd check out GIK and speak with Glenn K. Glenn K.
He has been wonderful with me and my little studio...

Best and good luck,

Thanks! I think I may have the main idea down alright, it's just the only problem is that I am going to be mixing AND tracking in the same room, so if I treat the room like a control room, in the path the sound takes from my monitors, will it help with tracking too?l

In a room that size for tracking and mixing, the best thing is to have some of the treatments on stands. They can then be set up for mixing, moved around to dry things up for vocals, or shoved all to one place in front of each other for something more completely live.

Yes, the same treatment will help both tracking and mixing. A small room like that needs to be mostly dead sounding.

So will I be looking at putting one trap at first reflection point off the monitors? And Corner traps in all four corners, deadening the back wall, and putting some panelling above me?

Thanks! I'm seriously considering you Room Kit #1, as it seems like a better deal than to make DIY traps.

Do you have any pictures of what the Room Kit #1 would look like in real life? I get an accurate idea of the placement in the drawing, but I wanna see what it would really look like.
