New Basement construction advice

I'm finishing my basement and have it all framed out. I'm to the point of consider what to put on the walls. 3 of the walls are against exterior (with about 6" of air in between). The other wall will be against the unfinished part all the utilities are in there. What's the best way to isolate normal drywall?

I also planned to just drywall the ceiling. There are 2X10's with a subfloor above underneath hardwood. I would like to minimize the amount of noise translated to the upstairs so the significant other doesn't complain ;) What's the best way to do this? The ceiling is already fairly low so i want to try and avoid building it down much lower.

Thanks!

Brandon

Double drywall and Green Glue will give the best solution without losing much space. For above, absolutely insulate it well and do double drywall. The sound of people walking on that hardwood floor above will drive you nuts if you don't.

For the shared wall, either build a double wall or at a minimum, staggered stud.
