| small room - small monitors? So i'm currently mixing/tracking in a room 10X10 with m-audio bx8 monitors. In six months i will be moving to a new house where i plan on tracking in the basement and keeping the control room in a little room on the side of the house (6x6, maybe even smaller). I'm real exited about this since i will be able to experiment with mic placement and gain staging more during tracking. My only concern is how to make that small room good to mix in. So here are my questions- what can i do to improve the room givin its small size? Are my monitors too big? Would smaller ones result in less reflections and a more accurate mix? |
