24' x 20' garage conversion (UK)

I've just had an offer accepted on a house in the UK which has a 24' x 20' concrete garage into which I want to build my studio (composing/mixing room with a small booth for vocals and re-amping) and hopefully leave enough space for a gym area for my g/f (treadmill, smallish weights machine etc). I've been fanatically reading everything here and elsewhere and have orderred the Rod Gervais bible from spAmazon.

My first (of no doubt many) questions concerns the minimum size for the booth - any thoughts would be very much appreciated, as would any links from people who've done anything similair.

This will be a long project as the house itself needs a lot of work and is already a bit beyond my budget, but I can promise you that it *will* become a well-documented photo thread right from moving-in day!

Also, if anyone has any bits and pieces of appropriate building materials leftover in the Yorkshire area - PM me and I'll no doubt take it off your hands...

i'd make the booth at least 50sq ft. you can then split the rest of the space for a CR, exercise room, booth, and perhaps an air lock so you could use the exercise room for additional live space when needed.

Wow - really nice - thanks. What design software did you use to do that?
