| studio ideas ok, so I've been doing recording in my home studio for a few years now. I've done some small personal projects but I've never really taken on a full project... mostly due to space issues. I am now the co-owner of a small Live Music Venue and I'd like to set something up for recording. I don't' know much at all about acoustics or anything like that. I'm not looking to be total top of the line. I would be using is 90% of the time with my band. Also, I don't know if adding permanent acoustic treatments would be bad for live music. To be honest, I just don't know much about this stuff at all. I can post a few pics to give an idea of what the space looks like. the ceilings are 20-25ft and its pretty much solid brick walls. I'm not looking for the best setup ever... i'm just looking for some ideas and advice. thanks!

| Lives for gear | Yeah give us some more info to work with. Space dimensions, layout, construction etc. Photos and diagrams are best. Also, say more about what you are looking to build. You just want to install a recording setup in the performance space? Or are you talking about building a control room adjacent to the space? Permanent acoustic treatments in a performance space are almost never a bad idea if done correctly.

| What's your building like? An integrated live/recording environment like Firehouse 12 perhaps? Or like The Warehouse? Or was it a bakery? Or perhaps a bomb shelter? |

| I will get back with some photos and dimensions. I really don't have anything good on hand. But I would be wanting to both add a control room and install a small recording setup. I have a room that will work as a control space but it will take some work to do it well.
