anyone knows a good CONSTRUCTION forum?

I'm looking for a discussion forum similar to gearslutz.com but about construction, i.e. - not "studio construction", just general construction where one can ask questions and get some professional quality advice.
(i live in canada - so a north american site would be preferrable)

thanks

Define construction and fill out your user profile so that people know where you are are.

I'm building a home studio, i have an acoustician helping me with the soundproofing and acoustics - thats not the issue. I hired a contractor who already did about 50% of work but he made some serious mistakes - from a purely construction point of view. I stopped the work, will pay him today.

I'm looking for a discussion forum where I could ask specific questions (explain a specific problem) and get "professional" advice - from guys who actually work in construction business, not just regular who are handy.

I would recommend the construction forum on John Sayers Productions

Check out Taunton Press' website under Fine Homebuilding. I think they have a forum.

You got the advice to go to John Sayers site. Read and follow the "Before You Post .." sticky.

ps: I have posted over 1,000 posts there mostly helping people.
