Vocal booth

Hi all, maybe this has been covered but a buddy of mine wants to build a vocal booth. Kind of like a Whisper Room without the $huge price tag.

Does anyone have any plans for one of these or know a good spot to buy some?

Thanks
Mike

Unless you truly need the isolation of a booth, you're better off just recording in the same room using headphones.

Yep, headphones is how I do it at home but this friend is a power metal vocalist with huge range and power...and his wife happens to run a daycare in their house.

He actually NEEDS the isolation.

Someone must know of some plans.

I have been investigating this as an option for my production room. Wall assemblies seem to be well documented, but how to handle doors and cable ports seem to be the real challenge.

I compiled a set of links on my laptop. When I get a chance, I'll repost them here for some discussion & feedback, as I'm going to be knocking this project out in the next month, if all goes according to plan.
