Sadly, no. But then again, I don't try very hard to get cuts. I've got a great career building interstate highways and am comfy so writing for me is more an outlet and labor of love.

Still, I make about 4 or 5 trips a year down to Nashvagas and get my quarterly dose of rejection

Newbie saying hi. This is my first post and I just wanted to show you guys a demo that I recorded and mixed by myself. I play all instruments except bass and pedal steel.

Been recording and playing in bands forever but have never learned how to mix and use plugins etc. So be kind!

I like this, too. It would be cool if it opened up into some sort of upbeat Tom Petty/Eagles type groove. Just my humble $0.02. Nice work!

Nice ! Yep I can hear a bit of Grohl in there with a liberal dose of Bon jovi. That's a compliment by the way. Well done.

Thanks a lot! I actually have a version of the song that goes into a nice groove after all the harmonies, but I'm not sure exactly how I want the song to sound.

Weepy country ballad. Cheatin' song. Don't listen if you have an aversion to strings and pedal steel.

I've listened to this so many times that I've gotten used to any glaring flaws in the arrangement or mix. Feel free to point these out and suggest improvements. Any criticism, however blunt, is appreciated!

Cheers,

I'm a member of ASCAP but no, haven't been participating in any events. Probably should but have little time these days.

Hopefully some will find this slightly amusing.

Hey I like the song, very entertaining! Nice mix, arrangement, and vocal delivery. I would've faded it out a little earlier but no biggie. Good work!

Cheers,

Thanks for the encouragement guys. And Lenny, "That Look" is cool. Great vibe and some great lines in there. I think your production values have risen over the last year also. Keep writing.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to share this latest track called "Dreamer". Quite experimental so not sure what use I will have for it for yet... I have used Battery, Guitar Rig, Omnisphere, and Sylenth for this one. Enjoy and feel free to comment. Thanks!

Miss America

Here's me drunk dialling America after 9/11, more in sadness than in anger. As close to Nashville as I will ever get. I had to learn how to play country guitar to record this!

Can you write an unrequited love song to a country? Apparently!

Drums are by the new Drummer track in Logic X, with a bit of fiddling. Pretty good I think.

These are the 3 last songs I wrote, produced and mixed. They were mastered at Bernie Grundman Mastering.

Let me know what you guys think!

Smile Upbeat summer track...love to hear your thoughts

Hey guys,

Wrote this track a little while back, not a lyrical masterpiece but is quite a nice upbeat little track. Would love to hear your thoughts....(I will of course reciprocate and listen to as many new posts as I can this weekend!)

Many thanks

I always like it when I finish something up and get a chance to back off the board and listen to what everybody else is up to.

There's nothing about this one that I didn't like from your infectious vocals to the insistent kick driven beat.

I like this tune a lot. It builds with authority. Cool how you finally turn that lyric around at around 4:00 and then and it in that musically poignant way.

Wow! This tune pushes the window of musical art wide open. It resonates.

Oops.......forgot to post up my own new work.

I kept this one stripped down to feature the unique tone of my 1933 Kalamazoo acoustic.
