Thread Starter | Soundcraft Ghost Mute Automation....
Is there anyone here who uses a Soundcraft Ghost with a DAW and utilizes the Mute-Automation. I have a Ghost 32 & DP 5 and don't really know if it will interface in this manner. I have not been sucessful in getting the ghost to control DP in any fashion using midi, I now use a Frontier Tranzport instead. I want to use the Ghost to mix OTB on and would like to use the Auto-mute controlled by DP. Any thoughts.. Thanks! Greg |

| Soundcraft ghost!
YES! you can control not only midi mutes but also faders on the bus can be assigned to control midi functions such as volume, program exclusive controls! The transport can control recorder but it is a bit of programming! Get you manual out and it shows you how and what to do! I use my 32/8 ghost with my Mpc 3000 to control all midi function on the ghost and it works fine and is very "CREATIVLeY' useful! once you figure the midi advantages you see just how great and useful this board can be! Oh and don't be discouraged by the age of this supreme machine1 Couple with something as simple as a digi 001 6.4 protools the ghost reigns supreme still over most other boards! |
