| Sleeping patterns and AE's... Taking a well deserved Christmas break to NH for some snowboarding, and then to NYC. Took on an unusual amount of late night FOH work (for me) as well as 9-6pm studio work, to have that bit of extra xmas € (hope that's not too much of an heretical phrase). Lack of sleep hits me pretty hard, I have a couple of good guys working with me that it seems to affect way less. How you guys find this side of things ? I rarely work more than 8-10 hrs in the studio, with a healthy break. So maybe it's just a shock to the system. Mucho respect to you FOH, monitor engineers, and riggers who do this all the time... I like sleep. Signifactant other DOES NOT LIKE us being on dissimilar sleeping patterns. On another note, how much is really done at 4:30am in a tracking situation, presuming everyone is there since morning or early afternoon ? Some vocal tracks I have used when people demand to stay going at it this late...but instruments ? Of course if everyone rises at 5pm it's different.... Anyway, G'night, last gig 2mo before I hit the slopes.... Nathan p.s I'll be in NYC from the 23-28 Dec, any gigs I should catch ?
