Thread Starter | Finding recording space in NYC
Hi people, So I'm looking to move my room from the 'burbs into Manhattan and am out to find some space. I'm starting to put my feelers out to other studio owners and biz friends but thought I would put it out there to you guys as well. Does anyone have any leads? Heard of some available spaces? Know of any great commercial real estate agents who specialize in this kind of thing? etc etc. Its not going to be anything big. A medium size control room for production, couple keyboards, guitars, protools rig, 32x8 mackie, and a big comfy couch.... and then a small iso for vox and guitars. Trying to keep the budget down to a minimum. Obviously, would really prefer NOT to do any construction. Help me out brothers.... ![]() PS. I've checked the other threads, but thought a repost might be helpful with all the changes going on in nyc lately... |

yeah, that's a great location. i just spoke with Bob. very nice guy. he's got to move that space QUICK, or the landlord will come in and wreck the studio stike tutt (best new room in Mix / '94)!! the rent will go up, but there'll be some build out. possibly a year. possible options for a 5 year lease. should be a great place for someone to do business. plus, there's GEAR in there......drool, drool. can anyone say API, 1176, daking, etc.

Wow, looks like CitySound is waving the 50k. Looks like they are in a jam to move that place fast. Shame the rent and lease is a bit steep for me. Thanks for the tip on the Engine Room. Any other leads? How bout any brokers? Seems like its all word of mouth.... |
