Thread Starter | Holiday Greeting From Curve Dominant...
On behalf of the Studio Curve Dominant crew, I want to thank you all for all the shared information on these forums, and give the moderators and everybody who posts here mad props. Our mixes are sounding better than we could have imagined, given what we have to work with, and Gearslutz deserve mad props for the guidance that has lead us to that level of quality. My interactions with Gearslutz have shown me how much I DON'T know, how much I still need to learn, and I'm eternally grateful for those reality checks. To anyone whom I may have come across as combative to, I want to tell you this: I have the utmost respect for you, and I am in debt to you. I've learned more from you peeps than I've let on. But you don't actually know somebody until you fight them. We all have a passion for music, we all share that passion, and that's why we're here. That's our purpose. We may debate the finer points of gear, but in the end, we have a purpose which we believe in, and for good reasons. We know not simply our means, but we also know our ends, our meaning, our reason for being here. We're lucky in that regard. Our work is noble. We don't pollute the earth. We don't rip off people's 401K's. We don't profit from medical sicknesses. We don't chase ambulances. We make music. Somehow, some way, we do it. Effectively or not, we are on the winning side of humanity. That, my brothers and sisters, is the most important part of our existence. And in this holiday season, we must accept this gift that we all have, as something immeasurably valuable. Can I get a witness? |

Yeah, really great put. I have said it before, while folks on DUC already seem to differ from the modern puppet here on GS there is obvious to me that the average member is really special. Not only for his knowledge. I don´t know how the phenomenon is caused, but I definitly love it the way it is. -- ... First time I came here I didn´t like the boards graphical layout. I thought " ... hm ." Thank you, fellas. Ruphus

Great message Curve. It`s great to have a place where you can find such a huge wealth of information and comradarie for free. I spent a couple years just reading the posts here before I actually started some threads and particapated in others. I`m still kind of shocked when people I have a great respect for around here actually answer my humble and naive questions in a cordial and friendly manner. It`s great that all you people are giving back and teaching those not as experianced and also great that new guys are treated with equal respect and noted for their own intelligence and point of view. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and thanks again all. Kevin |
