where to buy custom cables?

I'm looking for a place to buy custom cables that isn't too pricey. suggestions?

simple 1/4" to xlr male/female snakes.

I'd do it myself but time and travel are an issue for the next month and I need to have the cables ready by the middle of next week.

anyone have a good experience with a vendor they'd like to share?

thank ye

I usually make my own as well, but have at times had them custom made for me by either Markertek or Hot Wired Cables.

Gepco

I got some custom multi pin cables for Gepco. Much cheaper than I thought they would be.

I've been getting Canari cables made at Markertek. They do a good job and they're reasonable. I really should just make them myself. Although I don't have the patience to make TRS cables with Star Quad.

thanks for all your replies everyone!

I've made contact with all the websites listed and so far redco is the only one that seems to be the most proactive about getting my business. they even called me at home to let me know they were available for orders! I like to know that I can talk to a human easily to make sure I get the order right.

thanks again everyone and happy holidays!

drawings

Not so much in your case but:
for any custom cable, it is a good idea to include a drawing for the assembler.
even if it's crude. Include the model # of the connectors if possible and write down the total lenth, and the fanout lenths.

Another thing to consider is the spacing of any 1/4 inch connectors on your gear.

Some ding dong manufacturers space them so close it makes it impossible to use the nice neutrik 1/4 males (NP3C).

IMHO redco rocks
