Thread Starter | Music go round?
Hello All, Just wondering if anyone has ever bought anything from Music Go Round, specifically from their mail order section, and if anyone would care to share experiences. I was looking for a piece of gear and it came up on google that they had it, but I have never heard of the company before. www.musicgoround.com Thanks a bunch! -Mike |

I just got a Urei 530 from them for 80 bucks a few weeks ago. It took a few days for the guy to send it out (I believe they're a franchise), but all said and done I got it about eight days after ordering. No complaints. Can't say I would buy anything too common without a picture though. Personal inspection is worth a premium on any used gear. |

They are a franchise music gear store originally out of Minneapolis (I've no idea where they are based now). Carry used gear and low end new gear. It's all down to the individual store in terms of the service, but I've never had any problems with mail order from various stores. You can ask for a description on the phone and generally get a decent run through. I've bought mics and outboard from them and everything was as described and working. Every now and then something interesting pops up, but much of their stuff is pretty low end.

What Pokahu said. I bought a 1969 Ampeg SVT head at Music-Go-Round (Burnsville MN) for $500 a couple years ago. After a $550 rebuild by Savage Audio the SVT is a real crowd pleaser worth much more than I put into it. Music-Go-Round has the occaisional smoking deal. But it's usually pretty low end. They're a "real" business (brick and mortar store) that should be trustworthy and can't run and hide if they screw up. |

These guys ar great , very proffessional. I just bought a APEX ribbon mic that I got to be modded by Michael Jolly, the guy returned my call very quickly, received the mic well packed and fast. Looks like Great service FWIW. Best |
