Unhappy Helios "Eric Clapton" Console on E-Bay?!?!?

Gosh, think this is a fraud??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=23785&rd=1

Note exact same pic here:

"very exceellent condition" .... And the person is a new user with no feedback!

How does one report these types of things (or is it worth it?)? Sure wish that it was real though! $5600!

They're saying on their web-page that it's "not for sale".

For obvious reasons I think.

So I think it's worth a report to e-bay with that link?
Maybe they'll check those type of "dealers"?

Good luck,
j.m

You'd be lucky to get two channels for $5,600.

For the record, a friend of mine has the Helios Clapton console in storage here. If I told how he'd be using it before storage you would all feel sick...

Same old scam !!!!!!! Funny enough these same guys listed the Neve 8034 on mistyhill's website for auction about a week ago. Maybe Mistyhill could paste their name across those pics ??????

Good detective work. I think the pro audio community does a great job of exposing frauds like this. Must be our picky nature. Todd F.

Is he the guy that's selling the 8 channel thingy? Looks cool, but why no EQ?? I thought all of their pres from that era had eq? It's my favorite thing about the channel I have...

Dear Messiah,
I would like to know more about the Clapton Consul, your friend has, if it is missing all of its EQ's, it is because I sent 8 to Japan,
and I still own two of them.
Ask your friend if he knows me (He should) and also ask him where he bought this desk, also, what tape machine did Clapton use with it, and what equipment replaced this desk and machine.
Where was Erics Studio when he had this classic desk.

Best Regards

Tony

Why does the director of Helios mispell the word "console" and write like a fifth grader?

Beats me. People misspell things all the time. I was wondering why he resurrected a 3 year old thread.

Dear Thicko's (beautyfish, & John Vice)
Here I have a typical example of stupid Pratts, who have not been no further than their Mothers Apron, who most likley spell "colour" as "color" without the "U", the way to spell colour here in "Good Ole England" is the proper way, we in the UK, also spell Consul the correct way.

Besides who rattled your bisuits, I was asking the Organ Grinder (Messiah)
not the two stupid Monkeys,

unless you can shed some light on my question keep your nose out of it.

John Vice, What are you doing READING a three year old thread, you would be better off reading the New Oxford Dictionary, that is if you are capable

You two want to be rude then so can I, unlike yourselfs, I do not sit all day checking the forums, some of us have work to do.

Oh, I can explain that... you see, the way forums such as this work is, once a reply has been posted to a thread, that thread then gets bumped back to the top of the list. The threads at the top are very likely to get read.

That's how it works! So shine on, you crazy diamond!
