listen to this sample : what is it?

1)could anyone tell sample of michael jackson is made with(i'm taking about the bass sound).
2)what about the gorillaz one? what gear to make this synthe-vibrato?

With respect, asking someone to figure out exactly how a synth sound was made is like asking them to locate a particular drop of water in the ocean.

I have heard that bass sound though, on Janet's earlier albums

I would say that both those sounds would be reachable using a Roland Jupiter 8. If you want the easy, but slightly "lower end" route, you could go with an ION and come pretty close.
