DDA console: DDA Profile 32/24/32/2 VU optifile

Ive been looking at the Toft 32 for a long time, but this DDA console looks pretty interesting right now.

Is their someone that has experience with this console?

The following link contains a pic of the console, its not the one I consider to buy though.

Thanks!!

We got a DDA DMR12 in this summer and I've tracked and mixed with it (light mixing/summing) a good bit now and I really do like it! It's a fine console. The one here has a power supply done by Midas. I don't know the Profile but this beast has been really cool! It has 120 inputs! Now I just need more gear to plug into it ;-)

A good tech can build a PSU for the console if needed or modify the current one to use available parts.

Console parts though might be a different matter....

I have a profile and it is a rock solid workhorse. I have had great experience with DDA's in the past which led me to buy the one I have now. I mixed on an SSL for 3 years, and then moved to a VR. When it was time to get my own console, hands down, this was the best deal out there. They can be modified by a savvy tech and the results can be really great. Good Luck!!!

We used to have one at college I attended for a while, not sure about the model tho'.
Sounded great and took all sorts of abuse!
DDA was bought out by Midas so they might be good for spares. The original founders of DDA later left Midas and started Audient so that might be another source...

Or rather whoever owns KT these days also owns Midas and DDA.
KTs founder Mr Clarke has been making MC2 Audio amps in Devon for the last 11 years.

I am looking at a DDA CS8 32 channel board. I understand this is mainly used for live mixing. I would like to use it for recording in a studio I am putting together. Is this a good idea or should I look for something else?
Thanks
