BEWARE: do not install Apogee Symphony driver v1.3!

I used to have a perfectly tuned, flawless Symphony rig. After installing the new software, my system always boots up at 48Khz.

The only way to use it at 44.1 is to open audio/midi configuration, switch the sample rate to a different value (it shows 44.1!!) then back to 44.1.
After a lot of cracks and pops, system works regularly at 44.1.

Restarting the computer and/or the interfaces, the problem comes back.

It's clearly a bug of the new driver, so I strongly suggest all the Symphony users to NOT INSTALL v1.3 until problems will be ironed out.

There is NO WAY to downgrade the software (Apogee pulled it from the website)

yep!

i have the same problem here!

Also switching format in Logic will bring the audio to a complete halt with freaky pops and clicks.
And yes, the annoying : "an error has occured on the symphony bus" message should be removed at start-up as my Rosetta is on standby mode every morning.

Hi,

We have indeed fixed this issue in the Symphony driver version 1.3.1, which you can download from our website here:

http://www.apogeedigital.com/downloa...?show=symphony.

If you've registered your Symphony card, you should have received an e-mail notification last week.

Cerla, as you've posted your experience with the bug here on Gearslutz, it would be great if you could post your outcome with the new driver.

Thanks for your patience!
