Audix D6 on vocals

Just wanted to pass it on. I had a session this past weekend, and used the d6 on the lead vocals. It sounded fvkin great! What a surprise, I never used it for anything other than bass drum. Needless to say I am thrilled.

d6 into Neotek Series I console pre=

That's cool. I think people should branch out a bit and use things not nessesarily for their intended use. Every song is supposed to sound different right?

Yeah I threw an E/V ND868 on a live vocal recently and was pleasantly surprised!

it kinda makes sense when you think about it..

RE-20's are in EVERY radio station, and they sound great on a kick drum or bass cab..

makes me want to try the d6 on guitar cabs too

D6 on guitar cabs is nice, especially for heavy rock chunky guitars. It regularly gets the job over a 57 and my 57 has been getting the vocal job over most of my chinese condensers. It's almost amazing to me how much easier it is to mix the vocals with a 57, guess I just need better mics and a better room.
