Mono mixing setup

Greetings-
This may be the easiest, silliest question you see on a Sunday, but....

I'm wanting to get a single avatone or auratone and use that as my mono reference. However, I'm nervous about wiring it... impedance and such. What would be the best way to wire this up so I don't blow a speaker, amp, both, the house... Obviously, I need both left and right feeding into the speaker. I have a Central Station, so coming from that, what would be a good scenario?

Thanks for your help! Happy Sunday to ya!!

But a "Y" jack and you'll be set to go.

If your console does not have a summed mono ouptput...
Then you will need to sum both the left and right monitor outs of the console.
Either you could wire this yourself, or purchase a stereo to mono ADAPATER.
You could use any of the monitor / speaker outputs.
At this point after you have both left and right summed you plug that into one side of any stereo power amp, (or a mono amp if you have one) and then taking that sides speaker out to the Avantone speaker.
Simple!

If you're using a DAW, you can use a mono send from your mixbus.
