| Q8 Comps - Datamix Pre's? I'm putting together a drum recording room. I have some Q8 AM2b compressor de-esser modules (raw) and some Datamix micpre/eq's (also raw). Just wondering if anyone knows how they perform, what they sound like, especially in the context of drums. Wondering whether I should go through the expensive racking process. I own and will be using the 'usual suspects' type mics: Coles, 57, 421's, 451's, L47, KM84's etc And I already have Api 512, 560, Q8 MM61 amd 100 modules ready to go. Plus SSL, Spectrasonics 610 and Helios F760 compression. Thanks for any opinions (on the potential of those raw modules). |
