| Gear nut | I got 2 audio interfaces to choose from.. Hi I have been using a EMU 0404 sound card for a couple years with no problems... though I have also recently bought a Edirol FA101 (firewire) with loads of ins and outs... I got it to use with my lap top when recording drums as my 0404 only has 2 ins and outs... but I have since learnt I will not be recording live drums for a while, so it is kind of sitting about until I need it, I don't want to sell it as it will come in handy. the question is, which audio interface is better my PCI card EMU 0404, or the Edirol FA101 (firewire) ?, which would have the better DA converters..so on I am thinking the Edirol would be good as I can root stuff out and run sounds through pre amps and so on.... but I would rather have the better sounding interface before this. any advice would be cool... cheers. |
