Prefer good music, I dislike bad...

Everything else is just names and labels, don't mean much.

I like what I like. I tend to dislike country but I really dig Johnny Cash. I don't get into speed metal or anything but I have a soft spot for Slayer. Rap or Hip Hop is not for me but I like to bust out Public Enemy's "Fear of a Black Planet" once in a while or some old Dr. Octagon or the Beat Nuts.

Like Not So New stated above in his comment: good music is good music.

Same as above. Not really into trends or specific genres, I just like good song writing. My real enjoyment comes from the people I record with moreso than the music. Energetic, creative, and opened minded people are just fun to be with and it always ends up being an enjoyable enviroment.

Oh and by that, real soul real passion, not that hystrionics, high school acting club version of passion that's out there so often. Or at least better acting.

Classic Rock, Classical, Electronic, Roots Country, Reggae, Indie rock, whatever Bjork is, metal.

Pretty much no super poppy stuff or jazz.

My listening tastes go from earlly 20th century jazz to avant-garde orchestral, with sidetrips to various forms of dub, electronica, country, blues, folk, tango, reggae, you name it... even a little rock. Though I continue to find most of what I hear at the top of the charts borng-to-unlistenable.

My own produced music seems to bang around in a general mutant roots pop groove... but I do a lot of fingerpicking versions of my 150 or so songs which end up on my blog/podcast.
