Shadow Hills Equinox!

Hi! I am thinking ib spending around 3K on a mixer o summing box.

so any suggestions?
anybody tried the Equinox? how is compared to the Neve 8816?

sold my console and bought the equinox. so happy i did. peter is great. came over and showed me around the box as there is no manual. got rid of my voxbox to finance it and only miss the compressor but not the pre. blah blah blah, i love it to death. THe shadow Hills 2 ch compressor is on order as well.

So on the Equinox, when in DAW mode, is the audio still passed through the transformers?


Where is the audio routed when using the mic pres?

Yes, you pass thru the transformers in DAW mode giving you three flavors.

You can use the preamps while in DAW mode.

yeah they look great i really wanted one but the fact you have to feed it stereo pairs was hard to deal with... how could you send say your vox out to it thro a few boxes ?

i realise thats how alot of summers work and its cool for alot of folk

real pain if you like to use real eq/comps on the way out tho

Mine has a mono block for channels 25-32 that converts 4 of the channels to mono.Works awesome.I had an accident though and I am selling some stuff including it.It is in the classifieds if you are interested or need more info.

When you are in daw you are only monitoring the daw.It does not go thru the pres until you sum.Do you have the literature from peter.He will email it to you.
